DDPS Print Labels for internal competitions
This is an A4 sheet that prints out labels for the back of your prints.
DPI Files size and titles
Digitally projected image files should be in jpeg format, with an sRGB colour space, and a maximum image size of 1600 horizontal pixels x 1200 vertical pixels unless informed otherwise. When saving your jpeg file, make sure you choose the MAX quality (sometimes your computer may default to less). For competitions the image should be named in the following way as Dicentra has specific requirements, so when you SAVE AS make sure you use this format:
01_TITLE ONE IN UPPER CASE_Photographer Name.jpg
02_TITLE TWO IN UPPER CASE_Photographer Name.jpg
03_TITLE TWO IN UPPER CASE_Photographer Name.jpg
Mounts
All photos for competitions should be mounted on card (ask for assistance if needed). For most purposes a window mount of 40cm x 50cm is standard - and will fit our annual exhibition frames - but for internal competitions not absolutely necessary.
Portrait entries
In line with GDPR rules, please would members ensure they have some form of written permission from models or parents/guardian of models in the case of under 16s. It is good practice and without confirmation by the photographer such images will not be eligible for submissions to wider external competitions or publication on the Society's website.
